Spherical roller bearings have double row rollers, with one shared spherical raceway on the outer ring and two raceways on the inner ring tilted at an angle relative to the bearing axis. This clever construction gives it automatic centering performance, making it less susceptible to errors or shaft bending caused by the angle between the shaft and the bearing housing. It is suitable for situations where installation errors or shaft deflection can cause angle errors. This bearing can not only withstand radial loads, but also axial loads acting in both directions.
Spherical roller bearings have two types of inner holes: cylindrical and conical. The conical taper hole has a taper of 1:30 and 1:12, respectively. This type of conical inner hole bearing can be easily and quickly assembled on the optical axis or stepped machine shaft with a tightening sleeve or a retraction sleeve.
Working principle
Spherical roller bearings are divided into two different structures based on the cross-sectional shape of the rollers: symmetrical spherical rollers and asymmetrical spherical rollers. Asymmetric spherical roller bearings are early products mainly used for engine maintenance services. When designing new engines, symmetrical spherical roller bearings are rarely used. The internal structure has been comprehensively improved and optimized, and compared with early produced spherical roller bearings, it can withstand larger axial loads. This type of bearing has a lower operating temperature, so it can adapt to higher speed requirements. According to the presence or absence of a stop edge in the inner ring and the use of different retainers, it can be divided into two types: C-type and CA type. The characteristic of C-type bearings is that the inner ring has no stop edge and uses steel plate stamping retainers, while the characteristic of CA type Terren bearings is that the inner ring has no stop edge and uses steel plate stamping retainers. Both sides of the inner ring have blocking edges and are equipped with solid car retaining frames. In order to improve the lubrication of the bearing, a self-aligning roller bearing with an annular oil groove and three oil holes on the outer ring can be provided to users, denoted by the bearing rear code/W33. According to user requirements, self-aligning roller bearings with inner ring oil holes can also be supplied. In order to facilitate customer loading, unloading, and replacement of bearings, self-aligning roller bearings with tapered inner holes can also be provided. The taper of the tapered hole is 1:12, denoted by K in the future. To meet special user requirements, bearings with a tapered inner hole of 1:30 can also be provided, with a later code of K30. Bearings with tapered inner holes can be directly mounted on the tapered shaft neck using a locking nut, or installed on the cylindrical shaft neck using a tightening sleeve or a release sleeve. In order to ensure that the bearing prevents harmful slippage between the raceway and rollers due to centrifugal force during high-speed operation, the bearing should withstand a certain minimum radial load, which can be estimated according to the following formula
